2 1/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
2 teaspoons Ground Ginger
1 teaspoons Baking Soda
3/4 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
1/2 teaspoons Ground Cloves
1/4 teaspoons Salt
3/4 cup Butter, softened
1 cup Sugar
1 Egg
1 tablespoon Water
1/4 cup Molasses
2 tablespoons Sugar
Preheat oven to 350* F (175*C)
Sift together the flour, ginger, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves and salt. Set aside
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy
Beat in the egg then stir in the water and molasses
Gradually add the sifted mixture into the molasses mixture
Shape into walnut size balls, roll them into the remaining sugar
Bake for 8-10 minutes in the preheated oven.
Cool for around 5 minutes, and Enjoy!
